Great time keeper November 11, 2009 Sesh I have owned for about 3 weeks now and have been testing against my COSC certified Omeaga Seamaster and my other Longines quartz. This fares just as good as the the Omega upto the second. Apart from very good looks, this keeps time like a high-end chronometer (at least for now). I bought it at a local authorized dealer for 30% discount and that makes it even better!
Nice bang for the buck. September 5, 2009 R. Crescente (São Paulo, SP - Brazil) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Very impressed with the packaging and presentation, leaves very little to be desired, even when compared to higher tier watches I've previously bought. Solid, work-horse, ETA movement is working precisely and probably up to COSC standards even though it's not certified.
Croc strap isn't the best I've seen but the deployant clasp feels very solid and doesn't pop up unexpectedly.
The only thing that bothers me with this watch, aesthetically, is that while the whole dial has a silvery sheen, the date window is matte white, and the difference in the finishing is pretty noticeable in the sunlight and breaks the symmetry of the dial.
Overall, very satisfied for the price paid. Would recommend above anything else for a dress watch in this range.
This will be an heirloom timepiece! August 2, 2009 Dean 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Without a doubt one of Tissot's all time CLASSICS! I'm a huge Tissot fan, and this watch is one of the most beautiful pieces they produce - almost as nice as some of their Heritage Timepieces - could easily pass for one of those exclusive pieces.
Case size is perfect - silver guilloche dial with the black Roman Numerals is stunning in person! Caseback has open exhibition so you can see the automatic movement along with a beautifully decorated caseback. This watch is a winner no matter how you look at it - you'd pay thousands were it released from another brand. Once again, Tissot has come out with a watch which has superior quality for virtually nothing - I would easily have paid over $1000 for this watch!
The only drawback on it is the leather strap is slightly "hard" and not as soft as would be expected (this is typical of most Tissots I have). Calfskin would have been nice, or even perhaps a croc strap, but at this price you can afford to buy another strap and still have saved. Deployant buckle is great in helping to preserve the leather strap, just a LOT of nice touches Tissot has made to this watch at such a BARGAIN price. BUY THIS WATCH - you will be very happy with it!
Excellent Watch July 23, 2009 Shadax (Huntington Beach, CA) I bought this watch after much research. I have owned it for about 3 months and am very happy with it. It is attractive and classy enough to dress up, yet understated enough to dress down. I wear it almost every day. It contains a quality automatic movement found in watches 5 times this price. This all coming from a quality brand with a long history. If you are looking for a quality everyday watch in this price range (I got it for ~$350 shipped), you absolutely cannot go wrong with this.
Great Watch - Watch (look) for great price June 6, 2009 Ken Andrews (Asmara, Eritrea) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
All of the reviews are correct. This is a fantastic looking watch that functions great. Really a class timepiece.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't last over of the weekend if it isn't used. A watch winder would fix that but I've been experimenting with giving it a couple of shakes on Sat. and Sun.
One note, Amazon merchant luxurywatchstore sells this for $355.00 but they don't always have them in stock. Keep yours eyes and then buy it. You won't be disappointed.
